supercomputer.io

Postby bobsmithofd » Tue Jun 30, 2015 2:19 pm

I am about to power up a four board cluster and tie it into supercomputer.io.
I have not been able to find answers to these questions, and do not wish to assume.

1. Can I access my quad board cluster once it has been powered up with the supercomputer.io package?
2. Who determines how the cluster use is assigned?
3. What kinds of problems are expected to be attacked with the system?

thanks

Just from what I've read, the image that you would download from supercomputer.io has no hdmi output support and once you load it up on your boards, it is not meant to be used for personal use. I haven't heard any recent news on what the next step is for supercomputer.io, but the project seems more geared towards proof-of-concept than being able to access for running programs. For the time being, if you plan to program on them, I would not set them up using that image.

Is the supercomputer.io effort still under way?

Sadly I did not manage to get my board to connect way back at the time of the Tokyo demo. I was thinking to try again as my Parallella board is sitting idle.

The supercomputer.io page shows "Online CPU Cores Loading...." and never gets anywhere.

I can't find any news about this project now.
