And I would like another one (literally).
May/may not be related/off -topic, but if the cable connects two boards, then wouldn't one (or both) of the boards also need an addressing daughter board to set its coordinates?
Otherwise (AFAICT) the eMesh addressing won't work. Multiple board cluster - different coordinates.
If so, then it implies that we might need a cabling kit - rather than just the cable.

Connecting boards with eLink cables is still work in progress..but here is the current status.

The beasts exist! - the connectors, I mean.
That tweet shows the PEC_FPGA's connected - but it's not something that can be repeated in a stack. Maybe it's all I need (for two boards).
For stacked clusters with eMesh connection, the PEC_NORTH -> PEC_SOUTH eLink cable(s) need to bend across the board(s). I'm not sure what that does for the heat dissipation but it won't do either the cable or the Epiphany any good.
Probably need different, slightly longer cables and clearance for any heatsink(s).
Good luck.

Yes...these are straight through cables, which means it will not be possible to connect the North to the South link directly with these cables. In the future, we would prefer working with some kind of backplane. Most experienced system designers would agree that custom cabling is a mess...
Notes:
-The cables should work quite will for connecting two Parallella boards together through the PEC_FPGA.
-They will also be useful for connecting the Parallella to future expansion boards.
-The cables are quite stiff so using them for connecting stacks of boards will not work.
-It should be possible to connect the PEC_FPGA to the PEC_NORTH/PEC_SOUTH if you lay out the cards on a table. (not tested yet as we haven't had time yet to instantiate the eLink on the PEC_FPGA interface)

Same here... I really need eLink cables to connect my Parallella boards the way I want...
