Whats the status of any SDR developments

Hi,

I am following the Parallella and see it as ideal for several SDR applications. There were some initial rushes of projects and developments but for many months this has gone quiet.

I am really interested in the ports of gnu radio using all cores, and interfacing of SDR daughter cards or off board SDR receivers on to the Parallella

Hi Rob,

Seems to be very quiet here.

There's been nothing from hewittc about his build.

On the myriadRF (https://discourse.myriadrf.org/t/manufacturing-parallella-rf-module/176/15) site there are pictures of a completed daughter card but it seems like the developer (brenna) ran into difficulties and there has been nothing since. They at least got something going with GNU Radio. Maybe you could get in touch with them and lend a hand.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for the information. That's sort of sad that SDR development has gone quiet. Thanks for the link I will look into it. From my side i am really interested in SDR receive capabilities and the ability of the board to process quickly at a low $, and lower power budget.

I've just got my 18 core board up and running and starting to experiment now. Implementing GNUradio will be interesting, it's been a long time since I've been on the keys :D

... it justs seems those GPIO ports and FPGA are desperate for some action!!

FWIW you can find the gerber files for the parasdr adapter board here:

It's a 3 board solution w/ the parasdr board as the "hamburger" in the middle:

Then you also need a fpga design
The one I tested with (don't have access to source) was based on this design ported over to Parallella:
