hdmi to lvds

Hello , this post is oriented for a buy group or a solution that allow every noob user like me to connect a recovered lcd from a broken laptop i spendt about 6 month on looking for a very cheep solution and i bought a conplex interface based on rt2270 tht handle vga signal, nothing on regards to hdmi so i throw a way about 20€
Then i came across to http:// http://www. chalk- elec .com/?page_id=1280#!/ ~/product/ category=3094861&id=14647633 this product and i thougt of parallella users.
What do u think about this solution? Could be as simple as it's shown? anyone is interested to buy a stock of this board to get easy interface for lcd ?

I don't want to sponsorize anyone i'm just looking for easy solution and this looks good on my inexpert eyes.
