Epiphany's link with FPGA

Hello,

I am a more of verilog guy so wanted to know that how is the Epiphany talking to the FPGA?

From the Docs i am getting that the e-link resides in the FPGA so is the e-link main connection with Epiphany?
Where does the ARM processor Connect with the FPGA if e-link is utilized by the Epiphany?
And how exactly the ARM controls the Epiphany?

OR the structure is like

ARM <--> FPGA(e-link) <--> Epiphany


I want to know exact numbers for e-link. its bandwidth its transfer capabilities etc.

Bit off topic for this thread - but ...
I tend to monitor the console - there's a three pin header on the board (Gnd, Tx, Rx) that can be useful if one of your boards isn't getting to a point where you can SSH in.
