How do I know which rev board I have?

Postby TomKeddie » Fri Oct 17, 2014 2:10 pm

The Eagel library at viewtopic.php?f=11&t=559 talks about a rev0 and a rev1, the samtec connectors are in different positions.

Was this change made when the caps were moved and the single heatsink was added? or earlier.

From http://elinux.org/Parallella_Hardware#Revisions it seems like very few rev0 board were shipped.

I'm making an io board, would like to get this right.

Thanks,
Tom

Very few Rev 0 boards exist and if you had one you would know! The main difference however in size/spacing is not the Samtec, but the standoff holes. The samtec spacing is identical. The power connector changed.
The best place to find info is to look at the discussions on daughter cards viewforum.php?f=11
and find examples and templates on Github https://github.com/parallella/parallell ... ter/boards

My rev0 circuit board is green not blue, and has some manually soldered patch wires on it. neither usb nor hdmi work because they're wired incorrectly. You would know if you had a rev0 (and you would have had to pay for it too).
