Creating a bootable SD card for Parallella

Postby aolofsson » Fri Mar 07, 2014 9:57 pm

Hi,

We have finally converged on a solutiont that is up to date enough and clean enough that we can release an official image for the Parallella. Instead of offering a complete compressed ISO image, we have opted for a more modular approach where you can mix and match (with some caution) linux kernel images, Zynq bit streams, and root file systems. The official distributions come with the latest Epiphany SDK and BrownDeer Technology COPRTHR already installed.

The binaries are currently split between two locations (we are working a better solution...inputs appreciated):

Instructions for creating the bootable SD card:
http://www.parallella.org/create-sdcard/

Compiled linux kernel and FPGA bit streams:
https://github.com/parallella/parallella-bin

Root file systems:
http://downloads.parallella.org/ubuntu/dists

Cheers,
Andreas
