1) I Used GPartEd to create a swap partition on the micro-SD card but I have to run "swapon -a" every time to get the swap partition to work. Where amongst all the rc scripts can I add "swapon?"
2) I have the USB port connected to a powered hub, which in turn is connected to a mouse and keyboard. On power up, both mouse/keyboard work fine. Both keyboard/mouse would not work on reboot most of the time.
3) The "Search" function on this forum does not work.

I do have an entry in /etc/fstab for the swap partition:
UUID=5af8de93-aacc-48bf-9c97-461b70607d76 none swap sw 0 0
but I still have to do a manual swapon. So where should I put the swapon in the rc scripts? Thanks

i cant get ubuntu 14.04 desktop working even when i use startx , i still get the parallella logo and no desktop, even tried to reinstall the ubuntu desktop and still the same.
