How to add/replace an usb sound card

the usb "sennheiser..." headset is connected, but not listed by aplay..
how to introduce it ?

It may be that you need to build a custom kernel with support for that particular device.

As building a kernel is out of my knowledge, do you know a usb headset that can work with the kernel provided with the website ?

Thanks Andrew, I tried, but the card failed after reboot...I probably missed something in this complex procedure...I will reload the image I made before this trial...
