Finding the Parallella very hard to boot...

Postby Quantum » Mon May 19, 2014 11:26 pm

I'm not sure if I am the only one thinking this but I find it is almost like a Russian roulette just to get this thing to boot. Most of the time I need to do a mixture of resetting and unplugging the power cord and even then it takes ages to get it to finally work AND detect my keyboard. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so do you have any tips?

I'm certainly impressed, that made one hell of a difference. Thanks Shodruky! Time to get back to work...

I have to remove the usb-cable and the network cable every time i boot the parallella. If one of those cables is connected to the parallella the parrallella won't boot. It doesn't matter which usb-device is connected (keyboard, mouse or usb-hub). The hdmi-cable does not need to be removed.
It is a bit annoying so i'd like to ask why the parallella can't boot with network or usb-cable connected?

Best regards,

Reiner

You can try "long USB cable" tips.
