HDMI - Unstable [SOLVED]

Hi All,

Parallella can boot now, but displaying through HDMI is not stable.
1. sometime black-out the displaying,
2. displaying size does not fit onto the HDMI display

Too large displaying can not make log-in...
It is probably display issue, has anyone idea to solve it?

Sounds like a display issue and something that may be resolved by forcing a different resolution:

Hi Andrew-san,

I checked the boot after 30min or more from the posting this thread.
Boot did not make the issue, but after 5min, black-out was frequently occurred and resolution issue was also happen.
It seems that a heating is issue, although I use a standard heat-sink.

Is it possible to make the issue by the temperature?

Anyway, USB is also issue now, not working.
I used bus-powered USB-Hub, and removed this hub and directly connected mouse to the board, but did not work
There is many threads about the USB issue, which one is best answer, or is there summarized thread for solution?

I use self-powered usb hub now,
it makes possible to use usb peripherals,
so I login to ubuntu on Parallella board.

However, heating issue makes black-out of displaying...

Anyway, where is the HDMI chip on the board?

The HDMI chip is the square Analog Devices ADV7513 IC next to (below) the Zynq. Look for the 'U26' label on the board.

I removed the thermal pads, and put new pads to epiphany, zynq, hdmi chips.
In addition, I replaced display with new one.
The displayig is stable and does not brinking as black-out.
I write this message with firefox on parallella board.
