Vivado 14.4 headless build with epiphany using block working

Postby boeserbaer » Thu Mar 19, 2015 10:05 pm

Hi All,

I have succeeded in creating a simple block design project, using the parallella.v as a block (modified slightly). This allows the use of the Vivado block design environment, making it easier (in my view) to use the Vivado IP configuarable blocks. It also brings the design current with the most recent Xilinx toolchain.

Tested working:

1. Serial port (monitored boot)
2. Ethernet tested using ssh and remote X.
3, E-links. Tested hello-world app.
4. DDR (must be working to have the LINUX up and running)
5. SD card (obviously)

While I connected both USB ports in the project, I am not using them at all. I expect to either investigate the problems on the one connected port, or remove both instances from the build.

Now, for the not so good. My project organization is not good. My understanding of the IP packaging flow is very basic. It is all working, but definitely could use some re-organization.

Would anyone at Adapteva be willing to help me set up for more extensive QC testing, and to better package the project?

Best Regards,

Mike Ingle
