I know that this might seem crazy, but if I was using some sort of external flash space, would it be possible to bring up the epiphany with multiple lightweight RTOSes? I can't see the benefit right now, but having tasks and scheduling with events seems as if it might be handy to have instead of just running a state machine or relying upon some sort of memory manager.

Has anyone been involved in creating a "BSP" for a core yet?

what if we have a card that only run epiphany core.
I did thought of porting linux to it. I can try to give the list of things to port, no time to start though.

Well from the point of view of running Forth (or another operating environment) on the Epiphany chip, the Zynq can be regarded as an I/O processing slave chip. Depends on how much external I/O you want to do, but suppose you could power it down if not needed for a while.
