Parallella Community

Hi, would it be possible (and relatively simple for a new user) to add Parallella to a cluster of desktop computers?

If so, would doing this allow programs that require more RAM than Parallella has to run more efficiently?

I'm not 100% certain about this, but if you can get Beowulf working on both the desktop and Parallella, it is possible.

Thank you for a detailed explanation.

In regards to the Epiphany executable and the Wintel /x86 executable, it is indeed incompatible if it were a compiled language.
But if it was a script language, would that make a difference?

I was hoping maybe there may be a way to use Perl on Epiphany then link it up with the Wintel cluster with Parallell::MPI or something...

I don't own a Wintel / x86 / 64 bit linux cluster yet so, I guess I have to first work on building a Parallella cluster.
I'm hoping to learn MPI and OpenMP through a book though it looks challenging.
