Sockets are too close to each other!

Postby mahmood » Fri Jul 01, 2016 3:11 pm

Hello,
It seems that the distance between uHDMI and uUSB sockets are so close that I cannot plug two connectors together!
The uHDMI connector is a standard one and I am not aware to anything else.

Any idea?

You can get cables that has a micro USB plug on one end and a standard sized USB-B socket on the other end. I've got one but I can't find it right now to post a picture. I used it on my kickstarter and it worked well.

From the photos, the problem seems to be the HDMI, not the USB. You need a micro HDMI to HDMI cable, rather than a chunky converter block.

But bear in mind that the latest official SD card images don't support HDMI in any case, so you only need the cable if you are going to either use the old 2014 'with display' image, or try to build your own with HDMI support.
