That is exactly the point, and one of the reasons why Antmicro decided to come on board of the Horizon 2020 project for the 4K Axiom. You can use 4K cameras in oh-so-many non-cinematography scenarios.

This is true of many open source projects, including Parallella - even though you go out with the project with some ideas in mind, there will be people who will take your idea and transform it in ways you could never imagine.

It's good to see the two projects we're cooperating with interact :)
