More frequent status updates for backers please

I really like hearing all the news and interesting things that people are doing with their boards but at the same time I am finding it quite frustrating that I am not able to join in the fun.

Could we have more frequent updates on likely shipping dates please? Or am I missing out on a notification information stream?

Given that the date of 'end of summer' hasn't changed, I doubt more frequent updates would change anything. Do you have any applications in mind for your board?

Thanks for the feedback! I am working on an update post now. Agree that setting expectations and failing to deliver is never a good thing.

Lighten up, I was just pointing out the irony ...

In that last post Andreas says he's working on an update "now" which implies something very short term (I'd expect a few hours at most) thereby kind of setting an expectation for an update. But 3 days later it's not there yet, thereby kind of "failing" to fullfill that expactation. Which is precisely the scenario described in the second part of that post

Honestly ATM I'm not personally in a hurry, I've got a proto and a rev0 board to play with and it's going to be a couple of month until I have a designed / manufactured daugthercard I could test with the rev1.

Given that the last delivery estimate from june was "All shipments by the end of August." which, judging by the fact that there are only 10 days left, is probably not going to happen - the proper time to post a new update would have been some time ago. I for one don't mind short, concise update posts that should not take a long time to write.

Think of it like a rocket launch. We've all got a bit of 'go fever'. It'll happen when it does - so a countdown pause is fine by me.
