Virtual Logisim

Postby adexmont » Tue Mar 25, 2014 7:55 am

Just a thought about: i was looking for some arduino virtualization and i wasn't able to find something accessible to me, so today i woke up with a parallella wish, looks like i have to wait a couple of month to get my board (maybe) in the mean while is someone able to create a parallella version in logisim ?
I don't know how to do this but i belive that a logisim version could be usefull for hard people like me that are not so confident with the code.

Thanks

You mean a Parallella system simulator? As far as I know that would be a pretty big undertaking... However, I believe there is someone, perhaps even two people, working on an Epiphany simulator — but I'm not sure whether that is one core or is for multiple cores and includes simulation of the on-chip network. If you are interested in learning parallel programming, I'm guessing this is probably what you want.

Cheers,

thanks for answer, i was thought that if u had designed the board , you already have all the logical blocks needed to create a simple scheme in logisim.
(your answer says that's not so easy :( )

really i'm interested in mechanical assembling (vitual electronic rail ... i suppose), so i had try logisim and it's a grate platform for creation and simulation in an easy way, just build block and assemble.
i'd like tio learn programming but it's out of my comprehension and parallel programming sounds more complicated than simple programming.

I belive that in future there will be any simple instruments to let someone like me to compose a series of logical blocks to achive a functioning system with the possibility to choose the devices that's needed.

ok ... another smack to another wall :)

Thanks again.
