Mathcad with Parallella ?

Postby Damir_Olejar » Thu Apr 03, 2014 3:51 pm

My question is similar to a question about gaming, except that I would like to use Parallella for running the MathCAD (or similar) day and night, running on Ubuntu (with gui) with some minimum graphic-processing for graphs.

I would like to abandon an Intel Core i5-2500K at 3.3Ghz (4 core) 8G of RAM. Would Parallella be a good step forward?
If yes, I would like to invest into buying more Parallella computers and combining them together into a super-data-cruncher. Would that be second good step?

- I would appreciate if someone could enlighten me with a short list of pros and cons.

Furthermore, what additional hardware would I need to add (such as cooling fans, etc) ?

THANK YOU!
