I wrote off getting my board. If it happens, I will be pleasantly surprised. If I don't, I will chalk it up to a lessons learned.

When the shipping update was posted, those dates were only for Kickstarter backers. Adapteva confirmed this for me yesterday. There is a completely separate numbering system for Kickstarter backers and pre-orders. The pre-orders start at 1000, but the Kickstarter backers will get their boards first, even if the pre-order number is lower than the backer number.

Xanth, you're preaching to the choir.

I made the same argument. According to Andreas, the Kickstarter backers are being fulfilled first because many/most of them paid for boards 18+ months ago. When the update said that "all" 7020 boards would be shipped today, it meant that all Kickstarter backer boards would be shipped.

Andreas emailed me that the expectation for shipping 7020 pre-orders should be sometime next week. I don't know about the 7010 boards.

I'm working on an application that can't run properly without parallel processing, so I need to wait. I hope the boards actually do arrive. I'm examining options for cross-compiling, but the SDK is going to make that much more complicated.

I'm disappointed as well. I need the capabilities of these boards for a specific commercial requirement, so I have no real choice but to wait.

If the boards actually don't ship until next week, I'll be in the UK when they arrive at my house.
