i was checking out the imaging instructions and noticed the windows version integrated into the linux version and was lacking.

so, my suggestion is to make a separate set of instructions for windows and link to the Win32 Disk Imager project page (some may think it's a built-in windows program).
i'm not sure if the latest versions of windows can extract gzip archives but if they cant, you may want to link to a program that can or even the setup file or even upload the singular gzip.exe binary.

i just think it may help some windows people out.
