packages/repo for the SDK

Postby Gravis » Sat May 17, 2014 1:36 pm

I would really like to be able to easily install a pre-built cross-compiler for ARM host and the epiphany. a debian/ubuntu repo, some rpms should be enough for most while requiring minimal work.

We're looking into setting up an APT repository and packaging.

Cheers,

Please look into producing linux-image and linux-headers packages, too. There are linux-image and a linux-headers packages in the repos the parallella is already connected to, but they aren't for the linux-image that the parallella is running.

I've got at least two projects that need the system headers for the running kernel. One for direct access to the xdevcfg device, one to write a loadable kernel module to implement a peripheral driver for an FPGA implemented peripheral.

Thanks,
