Status of 64 processor boards

Postby jhlewisjr » Tue May 27, 2014 12:48 pm

Hello, Can we get an update from Adapteeva about the 64 processor boards? Maybe a general kickstarter update? Regards, JHL

This is not official, but this viewtopic.php?f=12&t=494 suggests that 64-node chips aren't being made in commercial quantities, at least for time being.

Officially...the 64-core boards are currently in very limited supply. I can assure you that as long as Adapteva doesn't go out of business, eventually we will get these 64-core chips/boards into production!!!

Unfortunately I can't give you a firm schedule yet because the development plan is very much related to our sales ramp and fund raising success (which of course carry a lot of uncertainty).

Considering the passage of time, strategy and marketing, it may be a good idea to skip 64-core chips in favour of some higher power of 2.

Greedy guts. But yes, I want one too!

I'd settle for 64 - but with LOADS AND LOADS MORE on-chip DRAM!
