The section() attribute tells the linker to place the outbuf buffer in the Shared DRAM memory area. The location of Shared DRAM is defined in the linker file (*.ldf). If you use the sprintf() function, then I assume you use the legacy.ldf linker script. Have a look at the script with your editor, and you'll see how the section is defined.
