Parallella rendering farm

Postby hannolom » Wed Oct 29, 2014 7:33 am

Not sure if this is the correct spot to ask the question but:

To be honest, I'm not even sure what is the right questions to ask?

I would like to use the Parallella for a rendering farm for Blender.
Blender is open source and coded in Phython, and can run on Linux.

Have anybody attempted a project like this?
Will I be able to use the full capabilities of the Parallella board?

Any thoughts or assistance will be appreciated

If you you will see that this question has come up before.

I'm pretty sure that current render farm software will not be able to make use of the Epiphany chip at present. But that doesn't mean that someone isn't quietly working on support, so it's always worth asking the question :)

If nobody responds here with anything encouraging, I would suggest also posting to the Blender community lists/forums.

Cheers,

Andrew
