Parallella Community

Hi,

This is quite an old paper, but I'm interested in implimenting cellular logic algorithms on Parallella similar to those I once used on "CLIP4" . This is one reason I ordered a Parallella 'cluster' kit with 'eLink' cables to create an MIMD array. CLIP4 was a 96x96 SIMD processor array developed by Michael Duff's research group at UCL . I commissioned a CLIP4R prototype, including validating all the CLIP4R processor instructions as assembly level, and interfaced it to a VAX750 for the UK MRC in Edinburgh. This involved writing a BSD4.1 Unix device driver for the CLIP4R DEC 'Unibus' interface. We used to dream about having affordable MIMD machines back then and now we have Parallella!

I'd be very interested in seeing that too.

I can't see that paper on Mendeley for some reason and it hasn't been added to the group. Mendeley has a pretty confusing interface, in the "Desktop" version of the app you have to go to the "Documents" pane in the group then right-click on the documents pane and select "Add files" from the menu.

Moving this to general discussion (prefer keeping this forum focused). There are so many great papers on parallel programming, deserves a different forum.
