missing isolator micro-SD

Hi,

Very nice solutions ZYnc combine with a multi core chip.

Now, I take a look to your schematic. I see there is no isolator between the micro and the Zync. Beause of ESD.
Second it's also not possible to reset the micro-sd by switching the power off and on.

Then I guess the communications is done in SPI mode? real sd-mode is very expensive.

So when you want to use it in spi mode. A micro-sd card boot always in a cert of init-mode.
Ones you switch it from init to data mode. There is no way back. When you do read or write access to this micro-sd and
for what reason it's hang or you don't get this data from record.xxxxx then it must be possible to switch the micro-sd off and back on.

In the past I write a driver for such devices by SPI(20MHz). And try also different type of magnufactors. ScanDiks really but they aren't not the ones when you want a good stable devices. In this case you need the functionality that I described above.

In any way I have all driver-source available the do read and write on file level. If any interest....
I implement it on a spartan6 / microblaze SoC. Just a bootloader who reading the real application from the micro-sd
in far example motorola-hex, unzip it to bin format and copy-it to the real adres-range in DDR-X memory and then booting your own application. Motorola-hex is supported by the Xilinx - IDE
