For now the cluster pre-order is only available with the the zynq 7010. We would consider adding the cables as a separate item if there is enough interest. These Epiphany flex cables will be custom made for the Parallella board.

Oh! Please do. I would be in a great anti-climax, if I pre ordering a few Z7020 boards and end up without cables :o

Hi Andreas,

I placed my order for 4 x Z7020 boards. I really want those cables :-). What do I need to do? Should I contact sales?

Thanks for the big order! What do you have planned for your little cluster?
We are working on getting those cables prototyped and tested asap. As soon as we have that done and have pricing fixed, we will make them available.

Yes. It is a big order for me. I am a PhD student and had to pay from my own coffers. Hope this happens before the boards ship. I really do not want to pay for the shipping twice.

I am working on image compression and machine learning. I think it would be interesting to implement back propagation algorithm on a cluster. I could try to train multiple neural networks with the same data set at once and see which one performs better. It would also be good to run operations on large image sets.

Simulink supports for Zynq, but I have never used it.

Moreover, I am teaching a class using ZedBoards in Spring 2014. If I can get things working, I might be tempted to talk to my professor and see if we could use the Parallella board instead.

Even I would want to go ahead with the order, only if cables are available for PEC connectors, so that I can use GPIO directly.
If not, please let me know, how to cancel the order.

Chaitanya

My College only offers a course online only if it has enough distance education students who express interest with the department well before the registration begins - And this is done only for a few courses as class rooms with recording facilities are limited. By online course, it does not just mean udacity style online class, but an interactive class apart from recorded videos.

I am pretty certain that this class shall not be offered online as the requirements that I plan to set will involve programming and implementation on the ZED board. I think it is unreasonable to expect students to buy their own. The department shall make them available in the lab - hence it cannot be put online.
