Is "October Delivery" still normally realistic ?

And is there some way of knowing the package is underway (so I can be there for the mailman) ?

To answer the title, I'd say "No".

AFAIK it always has been "October shipping" (and often qualified with "by the end of October"), which means chances are you would actually receive it in November ...

If I get mine in November(pre-ordered early august) I'll be happy. I'll also be happy if I have it by christmas.

Hi dginuk,

On October 13th the Parallella team posted an update pushing the initial 200 boards to mid November, with the other Kickstarter boards to come by the end of the year. Pre-orders are unfortunately likely to fall into the start of the new year. Sad news for all the holiday experimenters, and we poor students who wanted to do semester projects. But they are still closing on shipping, which is the key thing in the long run.
