parallella for smartphone AP?

Postby 8l » Fri Nov 01, 2013 10:36 am

Hi, i think this is quite possible.
currently, there is only few chip manufactures like qualcomm, apple, intel, etc.
and there is also 3rd party mozilla phone, jolla phone

in android world, qualcomm snapdragon take all,
big company.. still narrow choice for it's user..
google nexus 5 using it, jolla phone using it too, so on,

so many android phones available, but
there is no real linux-phone, more over no parallellized-computing power on smartphone.
just thought..

I'm not certain whether you actually mean Parallella or Epiphany, but if the former .

As to the idea of a smartphone with Epiphany in — and I guess ideally integrated as part a SoC — I'm sure there are plenty of us who would love to see that! With any luck, one day we will :)

Cheers,

Andrew

android is linux kernel + dalvik vm + opengl-powered gui
suddenly huge monster without simplicity.
that's why jolla's sailfishos started.
