Electronics for kids

Postby mhonman » Mon Dec 16, 2013 11:28 am

A very non-parallella question: any recommendations on an electronics mag that would suit a boy of 9-10 years old?

He has expressed an interest in an educational electronics kit (more than that, I think it's top of his list this year), but I suspect that a regular drip-feed of projects will sustain his interest far better. On the other hand he does not yet have a grounding in the basics & the educational kit would help a lot with that.

I would suggest something like Everyday Practical Electronics (EPE).

This magazine has a good coverage in Electronics and does starter "Teach-In" subjects.

Elektor is another magazine.

Kind Regards,

Julian.
