rack power connection

Postby jhammond » Mon Jan 20, 2014 6:51 pm

My Parallella board is destined for a rack in a rather large data center with electrical people that do not mess around. I've been told that the provided power cable is going to elicit large frowns from them. We want to hook it up to a 208v circuit, which uses a C13 plug. Is this feasible and how do we do it? Thanks.

Your best option would be to buy another 5V 3A power supply a suitable mains connector or at least a flex on to which you can fit a C13 plug. You could get / make up a trailing lead with a US socket on one end and a C13 plug on the other, but they might not like that either...

Cheers,
