Kroemer's Lemma

Postby shr » Sat Feb 15, 2014 3:11 am

Food for thought.

"The principal applications of any sufficiently new and innovative technology have always been—and will continue to be—applications created by that technology." -- Herbert Kroemer
“At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation” — Igor Sikorsky

Indeed so! And I may just have to steal that quote to use the next time someone asks me the question, "So, what will be the killer application for Parallella?" :)

I have not yet read this noteworthy paper. Parallella's killer application (domain) ? ;)

Unrelated to Paralleled, but I have always wondered why there is no FPGA accelerated hardware to perform FPGA place and route.

What could be a better use of all that logic?

Parallella goes back in time, and Andreas picks up this chip lying on the ground .... :-)

Cheers, Mike.
