Some comments for you...
Epiphany manual 9/9/14
p9 please include older models too, or put in a referenced appendix.
p11 Epiphany numbers don't match with page 9.
p12 (Fig 4) Should daughter card be in a different colour (off card optional)?
p13 Add a note that use of adaptors for micro connectors not recommended as space is tight
p14 (already mentioned by Paul) #5 refers to zynq heatsink but it is the large one in the picture. Which picture is the "right hand" one? The text repeatedly refers to two pictures.
p14 Step 5 is titled build and run a program, but the steps are nothing to do with that. Put boot sequence (LED, UART messages) into section 6 and refer to it here.
p15 First time name of Parallella-1.x is used.
p15 A generic Zynq is referenced. Mention the two specific models afterwards.
p15 Should be an "or" between the two Epiphany models. (Or my board is missing its second Epiphany!)
p16 A list is given of the I/O capabilities of the bare Zynq. However the chip is firmly soldered into a board which prevents some of these being used. Perhaps add comments like "(1 available)"
p16 references models as Z-7010 and Z-7020. Table 1 on page 6 (which states which chip each board model has) calls them XC7Z010 and XC7Z020. Change Table 1?
p17 First time Parallella-16 and Parallella-64 used The 64 especially hasn't been mentioned before.
p17 The list of eLinks gives all directions but not all available on the board.
p18 3.10. Anyone attempting to match up this list with Figure 1 is going to be confused. Mention the power LED as well in list and its colour. Add label for Epiphany LED. (I'm assuming the activity LED in Fig 1 is Zynq LED in this list.) Add annotation to Fig 1 Ethernet comnector 2 LEDs not visible in picture. (Also you call it an RJ45 in the list its connector name rather than its function)
p18 3.11 Mention pins are transmit, receive and ground.
p18 3.12 Mention that the I2C I/F is connected to the power management chip on board.
p19 Perhaps write out in full ID and OD for those not familiar with jargon.
p20 last para of 3.18 missing "if" in "board the power rails".
p20 3.19 frist line "expansions connectors" should be "expansion connectors".
p21 first line under Fig 6. should be "use" not "uses" to agree with connectors.
p24 4.2 I think you should make a better distinction of the addresses stated. These are addresses in Epiphany memory space not within Zynq memory space. You don't mention that there is a difference between these two, or how to convert them! Which address space are the FPGA registers in?
p43 8.1 on page 9 there are heavier weight 38g options as well.
Regards,
Tim
