My boards are definitely on the way back to Adapteva. For whatever reason it is not an option in the customs process chain to let your goods be re-checked with the proper documents (CE certification). Now it is going to cost more time and money...

Peeps,

I don't want you to give any clues to NSA, or anybody else out there who may be sucking money out of your bank accounts or anything .. but can you please give a clue as to which Country/Customs you are having these problems with?
The EU is absolutely not 'U' and your locall customs and lifestyles may vary.
Some people get away without any bother - while others seem to be just 'unlucky'.

I'm in the UK BTW. Or at least until the Scots vote in September.

Thanks for all the feedback, after some investigation, we think we have found what is ticking off the German customs and will put corrective actions in place for future shipments.
While the CN23 (postal customs declaration) is included, the customs seem to want us to include a full commercial invoice which we will do going forward.

Hi Graham,

at least in my case it was not customs but the Federal Network Agency that forbade the import due to having no sign of certification (at least that's my interpretation of the paperwork I have in front of me). So please also include the CE certification and put a CE sticker on the boards (or print it on the PCB in later batches).

Mine is on hold at custom office in germany as well. I have asked the custom office to open the package and take look inside wether they can find a invoice or something helpful for them to calculate their charges. After they opened it they sad that they have find what they need and that they will send it to the international custom office in Leipzig from where it shall be delievered. That will take around 14 days ! I hope that they do not check for CE compliance. Otherwise it will surely be the same problem like user flightcontrol has.

Parallella is there! Tax on purchases 21,70 € but no custom charges.
For the german speaking guys here a little quotation from customs declaration:

"Sendung durch DPAG öffnen und Inhalt vorführen lassen, Computerteile festgestellt."

Thank god that the custom authority was happy with what they found. ;)
